Paula, Doreen and everyone,

A google search of 'plemorphic' comes up with 87 replies with that spelling;
and at the bottom of page one it asks if you meant 'pleomorphic' - and you
can click on that and get the entries under that spelling and find another
30,000 hits. On this one it appears to be spelled both ways. There are many
words that Americans spell differently than do Canadians (and British) so
maybe this is one of those. "pleiomorphic" gives about 2000 hits and all 3
spellings seem to mean the same thing. Merriam Webster likes 'pleomorphic'.
And you wonder how we can get confused by some of this stuff?

Google is really handy for this 'spelling'problem sort of thing too. If you
are not sure of the spelling and stick the word in http://www.google.ca it
comes back saying "Did you mean: XXXXX" - I find it works most of the time
(for a relatively intelligent woman my spelling really stinks.)

And then stick the word into http://tinyurl.com/aj6m which is a medical
dictionary (a part of the Cancer Web Project). (or if you have another
better medical dictionary please let me know.)

http://maris.ilrt.bris.ac.uk/thesaurus//biomesh.pl is also helpful
sometimes - it is a medical thesaurus

http://tinyurl.com/v6x7 will give the pronunciation of pleomorphic out loud
when you click on the little red speaker. Needless to say you must have
speakers of some sort on your computer.

And last but not least Merriam-Webster dictionary to search for definitions
is at: http://www.merriam-webster.com/home.htm and always gives the
pronunciation aloud and is free.

Well I do go on and on don't I.
Love and caring,
Annette
